If there’s any more reasons needed why we need a tripod-mountable case for the iPhone, it’s the DigiDude!
The DigiDude, by Quirky Community, is a funky, portable camera tripod and keychain. Simply screw off your dude’s head and pull out his retractable legs for an on-the-go camera mount. Then attach your point&shoot or your iPhone (in a tripod mountable case) and you are ready to go.
All DigiDudes come fully equipped with retractable and bendable legs for adjustable camera height and grip as well as an included key ring.
The Quirky Community has certainly added some flair to the dude. Choose from one of five dudes: Pinky Scorsese, Snot Buster, 1iChomp, BoltBot, and G-bling-Money-Son, each with their own personality and attitude.
Be warned: You might even be tempted to collect all five of them!
TeleMarketing is a numbers game – just make enough “robo-calls” and a sucker will answer. But what about Photography?
Apparently, Sony thinks so. Put one of the supported Sony cameras on the Party-shot personal photographer (great name for a robot), mount the entire enchilada on a tripod, set it up inconspicuously at your next party and the robot takes all the images you ever wanted. 11 hours worth of images, if you need that many. While doing so, it can pan 360° and tilt 24°. Face detection is included, so it can automatically change the composition and adjustment angles to get the best shot of you and your party guests.
Just bolt your tripod to the floor, if you set it up on the dance floor!
My very good friend and co-editor of this site, Veit, is a great fan of video games in the racing genre. I suspect he will like this accessory, even though it falls into the category of you’ve-got-to-see-it-to-believe-it. It’s the first time I’ve seen a racing sim accessory that was bigger than the screen you were viewing the game on…
This is a steering wheel accessory for the iPhone that attaches either with or without a suction cup. You can then use it as interface for your iPhone-based racing games.
The wheel is made by CTA Digitals. You can view details here, though the price is not disclosed as far as I can tell. It should be around $19.95.
You can check out a video of this wheel in action below:
Here’s one that looks promising, if you want to give your iPhone screen some TLC:
