AppStore @ iphonephotovideo.com iphone photo video ipod touch itouch icamera ipad itabletOm Malik ran a story today pointing to data from Flurry Networks that desite the hubbub over the iPhone AddStore during the last week, the Apps ecosystem remains healthy, with “development project starts” still increasing. Thus, the prediction is that the AppStore will hit around 100,000 apps by the end of this year.

I’m not surprised – even if the technorati are leaving now, would I abandon any on-going iPhone development project now? No! And even if I would, where would I go? Android? Maybe.

The best leading indicator here might be the number of new development projects started, since developers are more likely to not start or postpone projects, if the news around the AppStore gets worse! That one is definitely worth watching!
